Can boys get any cuter?

Last weekend I had the opportunity to take pictures of a cute little 3 month old and his older brother, who could make a mean face and still look so stinkin' handsome it's unreal. The smiles are these two little guys faces were awesome. Picture perfect if I do say so myself. Mom and I had actually talked earlier that morning because it was suppose to pour down rain and we were going to reschedule for the following week...but we decided to just go for it. I am so glad we did because the weather was amazing. And to think this mom was considering just not getting 3 month pictures...I hope she's glad she decided against it because this precious little man is so adorable! I've watched him grow week by week and just in 3 month he's gotten so big! Just imagine what another 3 months would have been like.

He was such a happy little boy! So content...
This is the handsome big brother...See what I mean! That smile is TO DIE FOR!

I have a feeling that little man is going to be just like his older brother. So sweet...surely they get everything they want from mommy and daddy (ok and I have a feeling grandma too!) haha
Remember what I said about being so content?
This was the last photo taken of the session and I think the most memorable. I won't go into details as to what it all means because I want to respect this family's sense of privacy, but my personal story is how the brother of these two fellas helped save my daughter's life. I will go to my grave believing this with all my heart. I have little precious Andon to thank and I have his mommy to thank. God is good and this picture right here, is proof of that. I hope they cherish this picture forever. Six little feet, 30 little toes, individual lines making everyone one unique...but will always be bonded together, thanks to mommy and daddy.

This is what love looks like...

This family was so much fun to work with. I've known both parents for quite some time because I went to school with them, but to be able to take pictures of their family was just awesome. It doesn't hurt that the family is gorgeous! Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I do!

Dad is a Marine. It only seemed right to incorporate that somehow. I felt so proud to be able to take these pictures. To show off such a hero for our country. I was the honored one on this session.

This is probably picture of the year for me. To see the size difference, to see his gentle touch with her, to me this picture speaks volumes. And knowing his background, knowing he will do whatever he needs to do to protect our country, just imagine if you were his daughter. So much protection, so much trust. Absolutely amazing. And yes, that's mom and dad in the background ;) It has taken several people a couple of times to realize that they are back there ;) We did good ;) hehe

Nana also got in on a few pictures and so I was able to show off that relationship as well. It was a lot of fun to just watch the girls interact with her. A lot of love there.

This couple got married shortly after they got engaged so they never got engagement pictures nor have they had professional pictures taken just of the two of them since! We can't have that :) So we made sure to have a good time after the kiddos left to have some ice cream with Nana!

These two are basketball guru's so it only made sense...
The dad said it was a good thing he had been working out ;) ha!
The look in their eyes...wow.
Such a good looking family! Even with pretzels in the mouth! :)
And just when everyone thought he was so tough...;) haha, Sorry I had to throw this in simply because...well because I can. :) No shame in it dad!
Enjoy!

Finishing up the Mini Sessions

I'm trying to get caught up with my blogs, so bare with me, I may have a few coming in tonight. This will finish up the mini sessions. I feel like I learned a lot with the "I Heart Mom" mini sessions, definately a lot about myself. At first I wondered what in the world I had got myself into, but then as the day went on, I found my confidence and creativity and took the challenge head on. Every family was different and even within each family, each person was different. That was my challenge. But it was a FUN challenge! I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I do :)

I Heart Mom sneak peek!

The past two weeks have been crazy busy! I've been editing like a crazy woman and I'm pretty pleased with how all of the pictures are turning out. It's so awesome because each session was so different from the next, so it definately kept me on my toes. I'm still in the process of editing the sessions from this past weekend, including a family session where I was also able to get some pictures of mom and dad because they never even had engagement pictures?!?! Come on now, EVERYONE deserves engagement pictures, who cares if you've been married for how many years now :) So I can't wait to get started on them either!

But yeah, definately browse through all these pictures and just see the diversity, it's amazing!

So angelic

On a side note, comments now have to go through me first. That's not saying I don't care about what you think of the pictures lol, no that's not it at all. I love all of the encouragement you have to offer because having just started this last August, I know I have a lot to learn so I appreciate the feedback you are willing to give! But one thing I refuse to expose you all to are hateful, immature, and disrespectful comments. You don't need nor deserve that, nor do I. So once again I apologize for the little inconvenience this might bring to some, just know that I do care what you have to say so feel free to comment away, I'd love that! Just try and refrain from the....hateful...too embarrassed to admit my real name but I'm well aware of who you are anyway comments :)

Have a lovely day :)

Sweet baby girl

Trying to get caught up on all this blogging business I am posting about my session I had last weekend with a little 5 week old baby girl. I have not had a session with a little one like that since September so I had to get back into the groove of things.

I knew with the baby a little older, she'd be more awake so I was prepared to get some awake shots and hopefully some sleepy shots too because pictures of baby's sleeping are just so peaceful to look at I think. Well this poor precious little baby has colic so we weren't for sure just how this session was going to go. But she was a trooper! We took several breaks for both baby and mama and just made and afternoon of it. It was a lot of fun and it was nice to be around a little itty bitty baby like that again ;) hehe

Tis the season

For seniors! I'm going to try my hand at this whole senior photography business. As of right now my first session starts in June, but I had to opportunity to do a few senior sessions this past week and make their invitations. That got the creative juices flowing! They were a lot of fun. One session was with a couple of girl friends whom have been friends for a long time, so it was neat to capture that relationship. This girl is the one I'm currently working on. I saw her get out on the vehicle and I instantly knew we were going to have a good time. Check out this girls outfit. The hair piece. The shoes. Oh yeah...love it! Oh and let's not forget the purse! She just had such a unique sense of fashion and she was confident about it, which is what I loved. So I just ran with it and we had a good time. So enjoy! I will be doing her entire senior session within the next couple of months and I can't wait to get behind the camera with her again!
